Does anybody know if there is any grant available to replace old single glazed windows for double glazing? I'm renting the house but If there is I'm sure my landlord would be interested in applying for a grant if it's available.

ESB will do a HALO survey for free: http://www.esb.ie/main/sustainability/about-halo.jsp which takes about a half hour and they will give you a list of things that can be done to the house to improve it's energy-efficiency plus details of any and all grants available to do these things.

Not 100% sure if upgrading to double-glazing would be on there but it's worth getting this done anyway.
