Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm waiting for them to invent that cool silver car they were driving in the films...

Judging by the comments below the article the oldsters can't wait to get their arthritic hands on a pair of these bad boys. Nothing says cool more than wearing the same trainers as your granny.

Perfect for me as I don't know how to tie shoe laces.

But I'd never be in anyway inclined to wear runners.

    What do you normally wear?

I have elasticated shoelaces, no need for tying and a much simpler idea than sticking a motor in your shoes.

But elasticated shoelaces on shos or runners?

    You always wear shoes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

Of course. No need for runners.

Great, lazy chavs can now exert even less energy whilst (track)suiting up in the morning afternoon, to sign on/visit bookies, etc.

Yep. In Part 3 he was in the bar with the cowboys, and one goes "Hey whats that written on your shoe boy? Nee-Kay? What, is that some kind of injun word?"

Meh, call me when they invent that hover board they used in the film, now that would be cool.

I'd love a pair with a menacing sound chip that said McFly, you Irish bug if you tied the laces incorrectly or stepped in dog shit.

    I can just picture it...

Hip Kid 1 - "Dude, yo dude check out my new sick kicks, they're self tying laces man, check it out! I just click this button and it ties my laces"

Hip Kid 2 - "Dude those runners are badass! I gotta get myself a pair of tho..."

*granny who just wet herself walks by with same runners*

Granny - "hey kool cats, these runners are hippity hop and the best thing about them is that they soak up piss better than 1 sheet Bounty! Check ye on the flip side"

    *falls and breaks hip*

*three disabled people fly by in electric wheelchairs with the same runners*

Hip Kid 2 - *shouts to other friends* "Check out the faggot with his retard runners!"

    Hip Kid 1 - "Lame! :("

    Do they unlace themselves too?

Cause that would be handy - there's many the night of passion been ruined in Casa De AnonoBoy by me drunkenly trying to get my laces undone, falling sideways off the bed and cracking my head on the radiator.

    They should do zips next.

    Call it 'The McFly'.

Nike should release the shoes from Back to the Future in 2015 as a tribute to the film.
    I know I'd definitely buy them. :)

    What is velcro?

A greeting German passerine birds use when they meet each other.

    "Vell Crow?"

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,100 ✭✭✭eightyfish

This reminds me of the Puma Disc System. God how much I wanted those when I was 14. Now they look gaudy like something from Saved By The Bell.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,127 ✭✭✭kjl

Eh, I think we have all forgotten about the crap bit, you need to charge your shoes at night time to allow the to auto lace, what if you forget, is there a manual way of tying them up?

Anyway, as long as they dont put in the huge lips that were on the shoes on the film, then im happy.

Wasn't there a disc like runner tightener gimmick thing in the early 90's?

Anyway, alls I wants is a Hoverboard. I don't care about anything else. Well, maybe a time machine too then.
