    Heavy prolonged showers in Castlebar nearly all day but espically this evening and its raining very heavy atm.Calm.12 Degrees atm.994.

    60mm of rain fell in Sligo in the past 2 days. This is nearly 60% of our MONTHLY total. Some places.. like Mullingar.. have exceeded their monthly total already!

    Rivers have burst their banks in Sligo and the larger ones are brimming. Need a dry period now and HOPEFULLY there is one on the way for next week at least.

    Warm down here in the south; occasional deluges but so much warmer than up there....lots of sun too.

    after a dry start i have had some torrential downpours here since about 2-2.30pm,no thunder or lightning but the flooding has started again :(

    river boyne has slightly burst it's banks in places,with the forecast of more rain to come i can see it really bursting.

    Dry and breezy as it's been for much of the day. Temp 16.8C
    A comparatively paltry 9.6mm of rain fell in Galway city between midnight & 9AM, 6mm of that can be attributed to a localised cloudburst at 5AM
