Also, what did Alan Dukes do to deserve being on that list?

For being full of s h i t, especially when hiding the true extent to the cost of the bank bailouts and NAMA along with Brian Lenihan.

Also, what did Alan Dukes do to deserve being on that list?

Be an absolute smarmy wanker and refuse to answer questions put to him at an oireachteas hearing about Anglo Irish Bank and NAMA, and his dishonesty in almost every interview he gives on the topic.

Have a look at him here

Really can't believe that Pat Kenny only got 1 of the 211 votes? A good few posters here seem to hate him for some reason? I guess they must be busy tonight..

bout 25 choices on that list inc CROMWELL and ahern/fitzer take nearly 40% goes to show how mush they're despised. scum.
most polls on AH dont represent the actual picture across the country but i'd say this is acurate, more people hate ahern then cromwell, thats shocking, especially for a republcian/socialist like ahern:rolleyes:.

To mention but a few.Founder of WTO, Chairman of Gatt.High up in CFR, EU commisioner, Irish attorney general,Chaiman of BP.It just keeps going

Why do most people know so little about him?He flies completely under the radar yet he is probably the most politically powerful person ever to emerge from Ireland.

Ehh I heard of him and all his job roles before. Plus listened to a couple of interviews he gave on radio over the years. That man certainly has great timing.

I don't see any of the trade union leaders names on that list. Essentially, they saw all that stamp duty money rolling in and, instead of criticising government policy, they went for a huge cash grab (i.e. benchmarking)

Who will ever forget the teachers looking for a - wait for it- 30% pay rise! Why? Because apparently they created the Celtic Tiger!!!

Wouldn't you love to see that on the headlines in the papers.

Bertie Ahern hated more than Oliver Cromwell

You can't call Sean Haughy corrupt for what his father did.

Have you a link to where he is corrupt?
Not just making mistakes, everyone does, I do and so you do you in work.

Any links? As your one line post is pretty lazy and just focused on his surname

    sean fitzpatrick

brought billions in from overseas on loan
    he is gone golfing
and has left it to us
and made us famous all around the world

he moved billions on and off his end of year accounts at each year end
    to deceive auditors

Has no one said Joe Brolly yet, smug little clown. Spewing **** and being wrong is an art he's after passing out George Hook at. As a GAA analyst this lad is a disgrace and is almost universally hated.

Why is Bill Cullen there? I said Mary Harney.

Has to be pat neary the last financial regulator

Bertie was just being bertie i.e. a fianna fail politician the country kept on putting them back in

Neary on the other hand was a public servant its his job to ensure that what happened didn't happen but he somehow missed it.

in fairness it is a very good list bertie, cowen, bankers and regulators put us in this hole we find ourselves in  but Cromwell killed loads of people  how to choose.

no mention of ian paisley. :(

Considering he went into Power Sharing despite all his rhetoric etc, in the past, I felt it was appropiate to leave him out, after all he did what a lot of unionists would not do, otherwise I would also have to put Gerry Adams and McGuinness in to be fair.

I voted John Gormley - because if he had the courage to withdraw support from Fianna Fail, democracy might have been allowed to work in this country.

I'll confess to equal levels of contempt for Bertie, Sean Fitzpatrick & Co, Pat Neary, and Brian Cowen.
How on earth any of them have the brass neck to show their faces in public is beyond me! Then again, I suppose that for a person to feel ashamed of themselves, they'd need to have a moral compass in the first place........

    the vikings came
    the normans came
the army of elizabeth the first came
    cromwell came
    the black and tans came

but when sean fitzpatrick sold us to the international bond markets, ... he broke the two legs under us

he golfs today here or in spain

we go under the waves, by the nose

Post #119 and we get the first mention of Gerry Adams & McGuinness

I presumed they wearn't included in the poll in the first place because they are from Northern Ireland, (so is the North included)?
because if so, then here the top two hate figures on my list.

Gerry Adams - for ordering the murder of so many.
    Martin McGuinness - likewise . . .

Well, if you're including Norn Iron, you can throw in the many psychopaths connected with loyalism down the years, some of the Ministers for Northern Ireland, who were implicit in certain atrocities, and Margeret Thatcher.
Also, some might say, that Julian fella who used to do the weather on UTV.

    That's impossible.

Just about every politician in the country plus some and including town councillors, especially those who force the rest of us to put up with their notions just because it is their firm belief that they know what is good for the rest of us. God forgive me but I truly hate the Greens.

What about the planners? How could you forget them!! Top of my own personal list would be two individual planners from two different councils. Hell is not hot enough nor eternity long enough to roast the two of them.

I hate them all and have no problems saying I hope they all die a horrible vile death. We should get them all into a room and have harney jump on the ceiling above.

What would happen if you started going up to these people's houses and making citizen arrests.

Several people on that list who make my bloody boil, but it just has to be Ahern, the smarmy, corrupt little prck. He should be in prison, end of story.

As annoying as Bono is, how anyone could contemplate voting for him over someone like B-b-b-bertie beggars belief...

If Bono was our biggest problem we'd be sorted. And he has, like it or not, contributed massively to Irish culture, with his own work.Anyone who voted for him must not know who any of the other names are.Or else they are simply begrudgers.I wonder if their favourite person in the world is a pop celebrity.

Why do people hate Bono? Ive read his book , and sure he is a bit full of himself but look at what he's done ,

Dont go on about them being set up in a different country but U2 is business , and Im sure if it were yours you'd want to make the most too ...

It seems to me that everyone is Jealous of how much of a good person he is , I think Axl Rose should be on the poll OP :P

Bertie deserves to top of this poll.

But you don't criticize somebody over having a stammer, it's a speech disorder can and be treated but not always successfully.
