If it goes for hated then anyone in the political sphere looks pretty bad and the banking sector too. It'll be interesting to see if most people will end up welcoming the involvment of the IMF. Depending on the measures they introduce they are essentially saving the country from certain, and much worse, ecenomic turmoil. All of which was brought about by our own home grown talent.

I want to run for president next year. It's my first chance because you have to be 35 for initial qualification.

I've run into a bit of a problem though. It seems that you need to be nominated by at least 20 members of the Oireachtas or at least four county or city councils.

Seeing as how I'm a straight man who is unwilling to give rimjobs in order to further my career, I am relying on the good people of AH to support me. Please tell your local county councillor that you want them to nominate me (Terry O'Dowd) for president and I promise to become more annoying than Bono, more despised than Bertie, more ridiculous than Biffo and far more annoying than I have ever been on boards.

I will push to have the ridiculous libel laws which currently exist to be changed, so that you can all call me a fat corrupt wanker, who regularly watches internet porn without fear of being sued.

I promise to piss off all right wing people. This will give AH plenty of fodder.
I will refuse to allow FF take power, even in a coalition.

A vote for me means a vote for funny stuff.
