Hi I am new to this website but I have a query that not even my doctor can explain. I have been using the clearblue Digital Ovulation kit for the last 40 days as I have irregular periods and I am looking to get pregnant

But the problem is that I get a smiley face 2-3 times a week but no period. This is quite confusing and was just wondering did anyone else have this problem.

I used the lines before and got pregnant first go he is now 10 months old.

Maybe you are ovulating more than one egg? Its not unheard of!

Are you taking into consideration other signs of ovulation? Basal body temperature and cervical mucous? It might give you a clearer idea if you chart everything to get the bigger picture.

Also, if you have been TTC and have no period, maybe you should take a pregnancy test?

Hi, is it a monitor you are using or the sticks? if the former, the monitor reading may be faulty?

I agree with Crazy - you could be popping more than one egg, I've been known to do it, and I've irregular periods too.

Another reason could be that your body is gearing up to ovulate, i.e. releasing LH (Luteneizing Hormone), but for some reason doesn't, so tries again and again, causing multiple positive ovulation tests. I've had this happen also. I've been put on Clomid to help regulate ovulation and to make it 'stronger'... maybe that's something that could help you.

If you have been trying to conceive for a while and are worried about this ask your doctor for some hormone blood tests. See what comes back and take it from there. Again, my hormones all came back 'normal' (progesterone was a little on the low side but apparently that's hard to measure as it constantly fluctuates) yet I know I wasn't ovulating properly and ultimately I needed referral to a specialist, so you may need a referral too.

    bets of luck ;)

the ovulation predictors dont work for me, ive pcos. i was given clomid and went back a week later for a scan, scan showed 2 mature follicles, as the ovulation kits cant pick up my surge, i was given an injection of LH to trigger the follicles to rupture to release the egg/s and told to have intercourse 24-36 hours later.

Just wondering if the following has happened to anyone, ive been using the clear blue fertility monitor over the last 5 months and so far no joy. This month i decided to try the clear blue digital ovulation sticks (7 in pack) , on day 15 and 16 on the fertiltiy monitor it detected the LH surge as it went to peak but the digital sticks still havent detected the surge, today is day 16 so perhaps tomorrow the sticks might detect a surge, makes me wonder though how accurate the monitor is, its weird thats they are both detecting the LH surge and one says its detected and the other hasnt detected it yet, anyone heard of anything like this before???

Would you know why a fertiltiy monitor would give you a positive LH surge when testing where as the Clearblue digital ovulaton tests didnt detect an LH surge at all, i sed the same urine so wondering has the monitir just got to know my cycle and says there is an Lh surge when in fact there isnt
