Ibb to eircom?

I am living near claregalway and using ibb 2mb wireless. I have noticed the phone gets pretty bad in the evening most likely due to contention. The exchange is enabled with eircom and I was thinking of switching to their 3mb phone and Internet package Does anyone know what contention they run on and would it be a good move?
