Leitrim Flash mob anyone!

Lets get Leitrim on the map for something apart from hens and stags! I'm proposing a flashmob in carrick on shannon.

By definition a flash mob is a large group of people who gather in a certain place at a certain time, perform a completely random act and then disperse immediately afterwards leaving everyone around with a big smile for the rest of the day!

But for a flash mob to be truely legendary it has to be filmed from a height to see the full effect.

Any ideas? The cork one on youtube is great!

would love to do one of these, have seen some great online ones, including one in grand central station in new york and one or two in some of the london termini stations. from memory one was a huge coragraphed act, in the other everyone just stopped exactly what they were doing for a minute, almost people frozen on the spot looking at their paper, watch, taking a sip from their coffee, etc, people not aware of the flashmob walking amoungst them totally confused.

dont really know carrick on shannon that well OP, would there be shopping centre or town square that would have a good traffic of people going through them for full effect. Would permission be needed.

Irish stew, theres a market square in the middle of the town that is fairly packed on Saturday mornings, especially if there are stalls.

THe main street in the twon wouldnt really work as the footpaths are narrown but theres an axcellent green down by the water beside the rowing club that could be fantastic!

Yes. Quite. Your need to explain the definition should tell you all you need to know about Leitrim's relationship with the flash mob.
If you do rustle up the interest locally, the steps of the old courthouse would seem ideal.

If its quiet, you could try a flash mob like in the attached you tube clip.

The flash mob where they give the guy the bumps is the best, i think.
