Can you get tickets? I thought most if not all Red Sox games are sold out. I've never been to Fenway Park so I can't help you out with seats but as for atmosphere, there should be no difference between any of the games as they're all night games. Fenway Park along with Wrigley Field in Chicago are the only 'old style' ball parks left and are known for their great atmosphere. You should try and take in a tour of the park on one of the days you are there.

The matchup looks the best on Monday with Jon Lester pitching against Jeff Niemann. Dice-K's up for the Sox on Tuesday and he's very hit and miss so it could go either way with him. He'll either pitch a gem or get hit around the park. With the Sox having to play a doubleheader today I don't know who their pitcher will be on Wednesday but the Rays will probably have Garza on the mound who is pretty good too.

All 3 games should be good so I don't think you'll be disappointed whichever game you pick. The Sox really need to sweep to have any chance of catching the Rays for the Wild card and even then it'll probably be too little too late.

Buchholz v Garza should be a good game on Wednesday as well. The pessimistic side of me thinks that Lester will win tonight and well lose the other two, but you never know.

At no point in the last while have we shown any sign of closing that gap, and more often than not we have thrown away good chances to close on both the Rays and the Yankees (such as last night when both lost), so Im not optimistic.

Didn't want to start a new thread about this but just finished watching this documentary on ESPN and found it on youtube. Excellent documentary, give it a look, especially if you're a Sox fan.

I've been DVRing all of them, haven't watched the Ali one yet. Has the Terry Fox one been on yet? I used to do the Terry Fox run every year in school, powerful story

Yeah, the Terry Fox one was on about 2 weeks ago. Very moving indeed.

I can't wait for the 30 for 30 on the Steve Bartman incident.

Interesting to see what they do with it.

I took the tour just before the World series games in 2007 was class place in dripping in history. Game tickets can be hard enough to get times, Id love a seat on the green monster

Tickets for Fenway Park were much easier to come by last season than previous years. At times they struggled to keep the home sell-out steak going.

Tickets for the 2011 season went on Sale today for the first couple of months games. The games that will sell out first are all the weekend games, games against the Yankees are sold separately due to the huge demand. If you plan to try catch the red sox at home on week day except a Friday these tickets should be available until a few weeks before for 1/2 tickets.

Having travelled over from Dublin to see the Sox several times in the past few years there are several ways to get tickets.
    1. The best and easiest is buying online at redsox.com. Plenty of tickets if you know your dates in advance and it's not a major game.
    2. I've used Aceticket several times, they have an office beside Fenway and they accept Irish credit cards over the phone. The markup last year was very little for non weekend/ major games with plenty of tickets available on the day of the game.
    3. If you have a friend in the UK or Australia you can use Stubhub with their print at home option which means you can have your tickets in advance.

As for the 30 for 30 series, it is off the charts good. Four days in October is the perfect story of the ending of the curse.
