For anyone hoping to get a glimpse of padraig this week there's Live@ coverage of the second hole at pebble beach all week which is shown on the PGA Tour website.

His tee time is 9:06 pacific time which is 17:06 our time. He has a nice pairing with Rafael Cabrero Bello. He should be on that Live@ hole at 17:20 roughly our time then.

2 under thru 7 so far after 25 holes. Very hard to gauge where that is in the tournament with the 3 different courses but its certainly no disaster. Playing Spyglass at the minute.

3 behind in the team event with JP McManus. 14 under leads.

Birdie at 17 (his 8th), now 3 under. 8 under leads.

Stop the press. Newsflash: JP plays substantially better than his handicap in team event shocker. Same old story. He must love that handicap of his!

There must be some sort of "bandit criteria" for this event in fairness though.

The leaders of the team event are 21 under, Sabbatini/Mycoskie.

Sabbatini is only 5 under for the tournament.......

    Mycoksie's a birdie machine.

Yea he is doing well. A top 10 finish would do great for his comfidence

Another birdie at 10. Moving into contention here. Stats are very good so far. In the top 7 in GIR. His long game proving itself here in a tournament where it's not all about putting.

He won't have many more holes to play tonight as daylight fades. 6 under t5th at the minute.

Bogey at 11. Please Padraig no big number before the hooter goes for hault of play!

Awh god. I just checked his play by play, he's taken 6 shots already on the 12th....

Oh holy Mary mother of god! A snowman!

All the great work for nothing! From 6 under to 2 under in 2 holes. 4th to 32nd

He's gona miss the cut now! I know it! The wheels have completely fallen off!

Why oh why do I put myself through this misery???

  • Registered Users Posts: 457 ✭✭JohnnyLocke

I knew it! Double bogeys the next

  • Registered Users Posts: 457 ✭✭JohnnyLocke

Unfortunately looks like a total meltdown from Paddy. Such a shame. Game is just not there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 457 ✭✭JohnnyLocke

Finished 2 under, made the cut comfortably in the end.

2nd in greens in regulation for the week, and played himself right in to contention when he got to 7 under but SIX dropped shots in 3 holes proves he still has a long way to go mentally if he's ever going to get back to form. A real shame!

That was a stunning shot from Padraig into 18 especially given the conditions. Getting a lot of coverage this evening.

PS. Padraig is in the feature group with coverage on PGA Tour website

Two nice par saves on his 17th and 18th holes today for a level par round of 72. Overall should finish somewhere around 20th. Not all that bad when you consider the 6 dropped shots in 3 holes yesterday.

Was great to actually get a chance to see his game in depth for 18 holes for once (tee shots included) with that featured group stream. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of obvious weaknesses because he chipped and putted well to go with 6th (70.83%) in greens in regulation and 21st (70.91%) in driving accuracy for the week.

Still, saturdays implosion proves mentally he's got a long way to go. He actually got to second place at that point on 7under playing a very birdieable par 5. Presumably he got ahead of himself and went for it only to dig himself into all sorts of trouble.

He plays in the Northern Trust this weekend.

  • Registered Users Posts: 457 ✭✭JohnnyLocke

8:25am Pacific Time, (16:25 our time) he tees off on hole #1 with David Hearn and Matt Jones.

Jones is probably the fastest player in the world of golf so Harrington's deliberate style might test his patience. ha ha!

    Who?

In fairness if he gives Paddy any stick over his pace of play I can think of three excellent comebacks Paddy could use!

  • Registered Users Posts: 457 ✭✭JohnnyLocke

Error-strewn round of golf from Harrington so far after a lovely start. 2 under after 3 but unfortunately 4 bogeys in his last 6, (3 on the trot) brings him out in 2 over.

Two putts inside 5 feet missed in a row aswel. Needs a good back 9 or this could be a short week

  • Registered Users Posts: 457 ✭✭JohnnyLocke

Its saying on shot tracker now he missed a 1 foot putt for birdie on 11??????

  • Registered Users Posts: 325 ✭✭Dero123

Just took 3 putts from ten feet on 17, 5 over now weekend off for certain

Birdie on the last looks like he will need to go around in 4 under to make cut

Actually, with Padraig, you never know. He could score 66 or 76 tomorrow. Let's hope it's one of the good days.
