Another shot gone. Down to 2nd last after 7 holes. It's obviously more difficult for him than others.

Birdie on the first. Hopefully this is the start of a renaissance. If he could get back to 1 or 2 over for the round, it would be a great result after that opening nine.

Right well - that's over - so a nightmare day obviously with a +5 for the round.

The one thing I will say though - is that a lot of other guys seemed to struggle out there today - quite a few plus par rounds from what I can see.

Paul Casey as I speak is on +1 for the round, theres a guy in T27 whose also on +5 for the round at the moment - Justin Thomas

the other interesting thing is that even T27 is actually only level par at the moment.

Still a disaster of a day - but crap happens

Its a decent start without a doubt - especially given yesterdays round.

i still feel that even though he didn't make the cut last week and did this week - last weeks performance was actually better - because it was basically two holes that cost him the cut last week - triple bogie early on round 2 - and another triple bogie at the last in round 3.

Especially since he was only 4 shots behind Shane Lowry at the 17th in round 3 last week.

Half the remaining field are over par for the day do level isn't too bad...best we can hope for him is a strong finish now to take confidence into the next tournament....

Yep, level par is pretty good for today. Problem is he was well down the leadrerboard coming into today.

Don't think he is stuck for a few bob, but yes, everyone who makes the cut gets a cheque.
