    Awful first putt on 4.

    A shocker.

    Very poor read there.

What a shocking bogey to make in fairness.

What sort of a shot was that? On the green, with the other 2 blokes in the bunker and he ends up further from the flag. And then he misses. Expect the scenic route, though I hope not.

It has to be said that he has not played well so far in round 4.

I wonder is he tiring from whats been a long day both mentally and physically.

Oh God, all them dots wouldn't inspire you with confidence :o

Amazing how such a world class player can have such trouble with the short 4-6ft putts.....they've been his nemeses this week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,695 ✭✭✭ForeRight

So tentative over the short ones. He doesn't hit the back of the hole he actually looks like he wants them just to fall in the front door which doesn't inspire confidence.

    Omg Poulter!!!!!!

    Shank!!!!!!

    There goes Poults.

Poulter makes his first mistake, just AFTER Padraig gives one away. :(

    A real pity.

Padraig back in it after that shank. Poulter hasn't looked like making a bogey since I started watching this, but a shank like that will kill him.

    Enough said...

Other than the absence of water and the 18 less holes to play, that's a brilliant comparison.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,069 ✭✭✭MarcusP12

Anyone else think paddy's body language of what little we've seen of him suggests he's tired?

  • Registered Users Posts: 320 ✭✭lostatsea

Why don't they show Harrington's tee shot? They'll go back to Yang on +3 no doubt

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,075 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Looks like Padraig could do with getting off the course and going to bed! And maybe Poulter should do the same. Dreadful shank.

The point I'm making is that this is the type of player Harrington was, is and always will be. Also, this is a good comparison because people are saying there was no need for him to go for the green today. Well there was no need for him to go for the green with a 2 shot lead at the seventeenth on Sunday at the British Open, but he did and he secured the win then and there. He's an aggressive player, and thats what has helped him be a success.

Well now, that was a nice recovery by Padraig on 5.

Poults looking like he's going to drop at least one,Phil just dropped one and reed shaky enough...beautiful put off there.....if he just keeps the head for the next few holes and stays with a couple of shots then he's not out of it!....dammit reed just sunk one....!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,695 ✭✭✭ForeRight

Oh my days what changes so quick

  • Registered Users Posts: 325 ✭✭Dero123

Suspect as soon as the option to call it they stop rather than finish the hole

    Knew poults would have one.

    Knew poults would have one.

Didn't see that birdie coming from Reed though.

Still bang in contention, and I know every player misses the odd short one, but Padraig has had a couple of really poor three putts from 30/40 odd feet today.

Be nice to nick a birdie before they call it a day.

Ironically one shot closer to the lead after his very indifferent play so far this round.

Exactly this. Successful people don't doubt themselves in pressure situations; they won't always pull it off but they'll always expect to, that's the difference.
