And trackman/laptop setup. He is his own worst enemy. Masters week at the range is not the time for that sh1t.

    Poor from paddy.

Won't make the cut ......... No way...

  • Registered Users Posts: 115 ✭✭AloKildare

He needs at the very least a 66 tomorrow to make the cut!!

His mental game seemed to let him down today.
Birdied 13, bogeyed 14, missed a shortish birdie putt on 15, double bogey on 17 and to cap it all off a bogey on 18!

It says on his website his next outing is The Players Championship in 4 weeks time, on todays showing a 4 week break isn't long enough.

    Poor from paddy.

Won't make the cut ......... No way...

The cut is tiny now, top 50+ties make the cut, he can do it without a low 60's round

yep..covered way back on this thread. deliberately weight gain to improve his strenght he said. plus he was wearing some hat to balance his brain i think.

all a bit too odd for a Major winner.

Played 2 par 5's today so far and bogied each one. Terrible. Shocking. Not surprising either.

I'm thinking of launching the cheaper "LIDL" version. You just put both arms in one sleeve of your jumper !

How can a top pro bogey all four of the par 5s.

I have to say, even though Padraig missed the cut, the way he conducts himself on the golf course is something to be admired.

I watched his every shot from the 12th onwards, through the "red button" on sky, and he never put his head down or got thick because a bounce of the ball didn't go his way. This is totally opposite to Sergio, for example, who just seems to give up if something doesn't go his way.

I believe this attitude is why Padraig has won 3 Majors and Sergio has won none.

Padraig played delightful shots on 14 and 16 to set up birdies and even though he has missed the cut I will still put a friendly €5er each way on him for the US Open, as even though I am one of his critics, I believe he has just had "one of those weeks".

The 3 week break will help him immensely.

Roll on the next three Majors!!!

Tbf regular posters here flagged his issue with par 5's before the tournament started and so they proved to be his undoing. Does he not learn?
