Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sunday tyre repairs?

Sorry for asking what is probably an obvious question but I've been googling for an hour and not getting anywhere, got a puncture earlier today and would like to get the tyre repaired tomorrow. So far I can't find any of the big chains that are open on Sundays, is there any tyre centre open on Sunday? I'm in Kilmainham so somewhere within 5 miles would be great as I don't want to drive too far on the spare.
    thanks

Had this problem last Sunday morning. While nursing a hangover from Saturday night I came out to find I had a puncture. Changed the wheel and drove around Limerick trying to find a tyre centre that was open but no joy.

Had to drive around all day Sunday on one of those space saver tyres where you cannot go more than 80kph so had to avoid the motorways and use the back roads until I got it fixed Monday morning. I guess there isn't enough business in these times to justify opening up on Sundays anymore.

Some Advance Pit Stops are open Sunday - from memory the one in Dundrum sticks out.

Also, the tyre place behind the Cherry Tree pub at Walkinstown Roundabout used to be open on Sundays - not sure if they still are but worth a try.

Roundabout tyres behind the cherry tree pub at Walkinstown roundabout are the best bet. They open on Sunday approx 12.

Why not use the spare and get the punctured wheel sorted during the week?

Thanks for the replies, didn't have any luck on the Sunday so ended up borrowing someone else's car (for motorway driving) and fixing it on Monday. I remember in some of my old cars the spare was a proper wheel and tyre, none of this little red wheel that can only do 80km! ah well, i can't really begrudge the tyre people their Sunday off :-)
