I was saddened to hear today of the passing of Ted Channon the Farrier. Anyone who knows Clonmel knows of Ted and his "Forge" down by the Quays in Clonmel.

A true Gentleman and Craftsman, Clonmel has lost a Son and a chunk of history, it will be a sadder place without Ted and his Paddys Day Float with his anvil n furnace on the back of a lorry banging out horseshoes to please the crowd.

My deepest sympathies to his Wife and Kids. his Daughter and Sons will carry on the torch so to speak I hope. RIP Ted.
