Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ESPN has confirmed plans to offer a free weekend of sport later this month, including Scottish Premier League games and Aviva Premiership Rugby action.

From 6am on September 10 to 6am on September 13, ESPN and ESPN HD will be available without charge to all customers on Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk TV and UPC.

The weekend will include matches from the Italian Serie A and German Bundesliga, but no action from the English Premier League.

Highlights of ESPN's free weekend include:

    September 10

Bundesliga: Hoffenheim vs FC Schalke (7.30pm)

    September 11

Scottish Premier League: Hamilton vs Rangers (11.30am)
Aviva Premiership Rugby: Leicester Tigers vs Exeter Chiefs (4.45pm)
Serie A: Cesena vs AC Milan (7.45pm)

    September 12

Aviva Premiership Rugby: Saracens vs Sale Sharks (2.15pm)
Bundesliga: FC Koln vs FC St. Pauli (5:15pm)
Serie A: Napoli vs Bari (7.45pm)

No premier league on but free is free (didnt know where to put this so mods move if need be :) )

I doubt they'll be showing the Italian games here because Setanta have the rights in Ireland if I'm not mistaken.

How would it be any different from last year when they showed the Milan derby?

Were ESPN not showing Serie A games before Setanta?

Shame it's not ESPN America/HD also (although maybe it is, I dunno) as that's a decent channel for something different sports wise than we're used too (or at least I'm used too anyway). The amount of adverts during the games will drive you nuts though.

It's a lovely picture on ESPN HD, enjoy it while it's free :)

Well it would want to be free. Yet again they have technical difficulties as the last serie games. They blamed weather last time, what now I wonder.

Excellent, I'll be tuning into Koln vs St Pauli tomorrow.
