bbc weather women can't tell east from west

    Its quite funny looking at this video .
    The weather women in said video states that heavy rain will spread northeast into Britain yet the rain is spreading northwest into ireland

    I'm quite confused by what you are saying.
    The rain is spreading eastwards from the west.

    Do you have a direct link to video. It is a male presenter this morning at the link you gave.

    Nevermind they updated the forecast.
    It was on the 1:03 forecast

    Despite the wind direction being from the southeast, the band of rain that is forecast will be moving in from the southwest. While rain pulses will move northwestwards within the actual band, the overall front is moving towards the northeast, so she was not incorrect.
