Can i run RUU stock android 2.1 to downgrade from OTA 2.2

    Hi folks, quick question.

    Yesterday, I had a bit of a rush of blood to the head. I deranged my o2 desire (yessss finally) by running a RUU file. Then I ran the OTA Froyo update (got a bit excited). Can I now run the RUU file again to downgrade in order to root. I miss OpenDesire its just so simple, not to mention paid apps, titanium back up etc.

    Just wondering will the RUU do the same job. I'm becoming a rooting expert now at the expense of my nerves.
