Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Trying to do a couple of things with Gmail

Hope this is in the right section.

I switched to using Gmail as my main mail client and am lookign to do one or two things that are not immediately easy to do from rootign around in the settings etc.

What I want to do is have all mails from a certain group go in to their own folder. I have a group of 70 or so people to do with the rugby club and what I want is for all mail from any of them to go to a seperate folder (ie "rugby") that I have created.

I went in to set filters in the settings and tested it with one email address and it works but is there a way of addign them all at once or do I have to create a filter for each of the 70 people?, which would be a major pain in the arse.

2nd one is to do with importing contacts from Windows live contacts to gmail. Doe sanyone know where they are stored so they can be navigated to from gmails importer?

    cheers.

    2. export the contacts in windows mail into csv format and then import them into the contacts in gmail

I don't think you can create a filter for a group directly in Gmail but heres a little workaround,
Once you get all of your contacts imported you'll need to make your "rugby" group.
Then go to compose a message and in the to field type in Rugby, you should see Rugby (Group) pop up. Click on that and then all of the emails will appear.
You then need to copy everything that is in the To field.
    Go to this site
    http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2006/08/create-email-blacklist-in-gmail.html
and paste them into the textbox there and hit the convert button. Copy the new output and then back into your gmail and create a filter.
Then just paste the new output into the From field and hit next step, then apply label or whatever else you want to do.

you can set up a filter for "GAA" "Craigslist" "Youtube" etc and any mail with those keywords in them will go to those folders.

The other thing you can do is create the label; then in any of these emails next to all the Reply/Spam/Delete buttons just click the label button and add the email to that label: emails from that address will now go into that label.

You can also use the Priority Inbox feature, which is brand new.
