Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know there are a few people on this forum from the area, so just to let you know that there will be a 5k Fit4Life race in Shanganagh Park (Shankill) at 7pm this Wednesday, 8th September. Registration will be in the third field from the road.

It's a very flat course on tarmac paths (or grass if you prefer!). It will be 2 laps of the 3 fields nearest the road followed by a lap of the 3rd field (see picture attached for course and marker for the start/finish/registration).

The course has been measured and marked in white paint on the path by 2 very experienced runners in the last couple of weeks, so the distance should be spot-on! Registration and other organisation etc. by Bray Runners.

Is there an entry charge for this race?

Yes though I'm not sure how much it will be, but something in the region of €5-10

Having done thousands and thousands of laps of those fields I really should be doing this race, but unfortunately have a 10k race a couple of days later. Damn training schedules. Best of luck with the race, and hopefully I'll make the next one.

Apologies to BeepBeep67, I missed his post which is far more succinct and informative! Apologies for duplicating!
