Is there a buddy scheme for arts students tomo?

Ive heard theres a buddy system, but i havent heard when we are 'buddied' up.Im in tomorrow for Arts orientation too.Im going as mature student so wondering if im going to be much older than my buddy lol.:)

It's not as much a buddy scheme as you'd have in other courses. For the first three weeks of term, just outside the programme office there will be a desk set up where you'll be able to sign up for various things. There's going to be lunches twice a week for the first three weeks of term, so you'll be able to meet other arts students, I'd sign up for these early enough, as there's only 100 places each day. There's also going to be tours of the various schools, you'll sign up for these at the desks too.

I think the table should be set up from tomorrow on, and will be there all week, and will be there most of next week too, and then for the next 2 weeks.

As arts is such a big course, it's impossible to organise peer mentor schemes like other courses have, and this is the first year anything like this will be tried for it. There will be people walking around with arts guides tshirts for the first few weeks, so feel free to call to the desk or ask one of us for information or advice, and we'll do our best to help, and if we can't we'll send you in the right direction.

there is a separate ArtsBuddy scheme going on during the 1st 2 weeks of college as well as the ArtsGuides. i know some of the people organising it so if i can get more information on it i'll post up here
