Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

the roads are in bad shape at the moment, I had a similar model a few years ago, they fly up hills and can take a fare weight

thanks for that quick reply. would that still be the one you would go for even if you stretched your budget to say €500

i wouldnt go with that if i were you. tyres too thick, it has suspension, oh and its a raleigh.

go for a road bike or hybrid. you'd want to be obese for one not to hold you. with the above bike you'll be waiting energy. not only that if your looking to get back into cycling, your more likely if its a bike you enjoy the look of and riding. you need more than 400 for a decent road bike (maybe not 2nd hand) but should get an ok hybrid.

    Hi!
I've a Felt QX 65 and I'm very happy with her. Been commuting for the last 3 months from lucan 2 city center and the time just been dropping 2 a steady 30mn. It's not fitted with the best but does the job perfectly.

You'd need to decide what kinda cycling you are going to do. 30k everyday to work and back in all weather. Weekend 50k spin up the mountains. Down trails or on the road.

Regardless if by large you mean tall like 6' 4" or large as in heavy like 20st doesn't really matter, most regular bikes will be ok. Just makes sure you get a bike shop that will fit you on the bike so its the right size.

Can you get the bike to work scheme form work?
