Hands up, i know you're out there. :D
Can any ridgeback owners out there let me know who you are. I'm collecting my little girl this week, and whilst i've read avidly and feel like we are well prepared, i'm under no illusion that i will still run into problems:o With that in mind, i would hope that i can tap into your real world experiences with your dogs, and hopefully aviod most of the drama
    Many thanks, Shane

Hi have two Rhodes myself. Excelent dogs, is your bitch a red wheaten or light wheaten? Wish you all the best!

They are simply the best dog breed.:) You will love her. Obviously take her to puppy training and socialise her around people and other dogs as often as you can. As she is restricted just don't take chances and muzzle her in public. Its a pain but what can you do. For threats take her to the woods and let her run off the lead they love it. But practice recall first. When you get her be sure and post pictures. We can give you further advice when she arrives.

Dont know if this has been talked about before, but it was extreamly intresting, and most of the bad guys in this are 'Reputable breeders'. If anyone has not seen this documentary then I urge you too, its horrible what breeding to the standard has done to the German Shepard.
