Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Some start for Schumacher again.

Really does look as though if Button makes one slip through a corner Alonso will breeze past him.

alonso all over the back of button into turn 1....hope theres not a coming together

+ hope webber rescues something significant out of this one

Rookie mistake from Hamilton proving yet again he does not live up to the hype! at least now Button has a chance of winning, the team will have put him first now! :D

Anyone else think Schumacher went for the outside way too early? A replay could well change my opinion though. :pac:

Hamiltons posture going back to the motorhome said it all.:D

Webber going after Vettel, should be 'interesting'.:)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Can't see the tyres making much difference, if it's a one-stopper then surely McLaren will be trying to just block off Ferrari and come in whenever Alonso does.

Only for the stupid team orders bull**** I'd say Ferrari should be letting Massa past Alonso to have a dive at Button.

Seriously... Hamiltons an ex world champ, what hype:confused:

Alonso looking very strong, hope Button can stay ahead

excellent stuff .... fingers crossed button doesn't make a mistake so things stay interesting...locked front right into turn on last slo mo with alonso within what lloked like a couple of inches of him

I'd be better than Legard. Hell there's a few people I often disagree with on here who I'd prefer to Legard. :pac:

Should be fun with Vettel and Webber here, be good to see if what that sanctimonious bloody Horner was saying was accurate or not. :pac:

didn't realize ferrari on eight engine...whats the story with engine count in mclaren and red bull?

anyone knows what happens to a spent engine ...do the disassemble and reuse useful bits...melt down the rest of the block?

lol at "sanctimonious bloody horner" something always bothered me about him but could never put my finger on it (thought it was just the quasi quiff hairstyle)

Massa looking like he needs new tires

Vettel sounded very distressed on the radio
The "Understood" response from the team was very relaxed :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,577 ✭✭✭lord lucan

Vettel sounded like he was going to cry!

    There's that as well. :pac:

I suppose Red Bull just showed us one way to avoid having to use team orders. :pac:

If I was into conspiracy theories I'd say that was team orders at Redbull. His car is fine now.

    But I'm not.

They can still go back and use one of the previous seven engines I think, if there's still life in it

Will be interesting to see if engines play a part in who wins the championship

3 backmarkers coming up, this'll be more than a little nervy for Button one would think. Wonder if either of them will gamble on a pit stop now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Button's tyres are starting to look more than a little worn. Also I'd love to know what they filled Button's front right with, the amount of crap being thrown out by it is unreal.

Have a feeling he's hedging his bets tbh. I look forward to hearing what the problem was tbh, it didn't look like any accidental engine "reset" I've seen before.

not to worry you havent missed much.....drowned out in a ensuing deluge of start stop excessive pause to pronounce the occasional word clearly legard speak

sometimes I think they are telling him to fill up time and he does it by inserting quarter second pauses every couple of words rather than saying more

"It's dying (even though I've lost no time, I'll let Webber past and then try and sort it out)." Loada rubbish.

Also WTF was Yamamoto at? I was thinking the same as Brundle, how could he not notice that someone was fiddling with something inside his cockpit!? :pac:

Is Button smoking or is it the tires locking

If I was button...I'd rather not have any rear view mirrors on my shiny silver mclaren

Bit of both I think. The tyres look better now than they did 5 or so laps ago.
