How to change thread title to bold?!

    I'm sure this is a simple one but it has me baffled, when I start a new thread how do I ensure that the title of my thread is bold (like most if not all the other threads). I have tried using the bold icon/button and have also looked at my default settings.

    Please enlighten me!

    All thread titles are in bold if you have not read them.
    Ones that you have read, no longer appear in bold. Once a new comment is added to a thread, it appears in bold again.
