Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replacing Memory

My friend's PC had 4 gig of DDR2 dual channel memory. One module was faulty and was taken out so currently the PC is running on 2 gigs only which is affecting gaming performance :P
My question: I have located the same memory modules http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000QILPO6/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

which is a kit, i.e 2 x 2gig modules. Can I install those in the first linked pair slots and the place the existing one in a third slot, giving the PC a total of 6 gig of RAM?

    Any help appreciated.

Unless it's a 64-bit PC you won't be able to use even the full 4Gb, just over 3Gb will be available out of the 4.

To ensure dual channel mode you should install matched pairs in each bank.

Just get 2GB of RAM unless your OS can support more.
