Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They're neat. Its a shame about the people in #2, and I don't like whatever the processing is that you've applied to the first one, some blurry soft focus effect or something ? Otherwise it's good stuff. I'd present them all processed the same way as well, no need to drop in some sepia or mono-toned shot into the group. I think if I were to take them I'd be tempted to shoot them all in portrait or something as well. Very simple centralised compositions, but taking advantage of the verticals behind in the trees.

It's a nice set overall though, the first is probably the strongest IMO.

Liek said on Pixie - I really like these shroomies - very fairy take like!

plus the title makes me laugh, every single time.

That's a lovely set Trooners. I'd disagree with D.Q. on the 2nd one (my favourite if I had to pick). The colours and positions of the people make the shot for me.

Do agree with D.Q. on the 3rd pic though. It weakens the set. Funny colour but also the composition is peculiar. Good on its own perhaps?

    Very lovely job.

    Are any of them edible?

You'll note that we haven't heard anything from trooney since, so I'd hazard a guess and say that while they were certainly edible , there were, um, side effects*.

    *i.e., death.

    Cheers folks!

I kinda liked the people in #2, for a sense of scale, in a way. And the Cyanotype (#3)seemed to bring out the detail in the gills on the schroom much better then the col version. Portrait may have suited better alright, on reflection.

They are all, of course, edible. But, as pointed out, the side effects of some may be somewhat terminal.
The one in #5 is def edible and supposedly has psychotropic tendanicies (read: cousin of yer aul psilocybin) but can also have that terminal kick if not prepared correctly

haha, I just got it now as well after carefully saying it out loud a few times. Sometimes I think I'm not as smart as I think I am :(

It's only because it's my favourite joke which I keep telling people untill it annoys them so much that they kick me...

"Why is the mushroom always invited to parties" Uh Dunno...
"Because he is a Fun-Guy" (hahaahahaha - rolls over laughing)

#5 looks like Amanita muscaria = toxic and bloody dangerous, I wouldn't even touch it physically.

It is indeed 'Muchomurka Cervena' - not great for human consumption but very pretty to look at...and also, as its Czech name suggests, great for killing insects...:D
