Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Friend of mine will be let go soon after working full time for about 3 years. Their brother, coincidentally, will also be let go after working full time for 4 years.
They commented on tha fact that eventhough one of them had paid more PRSi they both would get the same s/w entitlements for the same period of time.

Anybody know if this is true?

Yes. As long as you meet the qualifying conditions, everyone gets the same weekly amount.

    Thanks for the reply Carol.

It does not seem right to me that someone who may have paid PRSi for say 15 years is then entitled to the same unemployment benefits as someone who only paid 1 years PRSI.

I presume where the person who paid 15 years PRSI and is now unemployed may benefit is when they apply for contributiory pension.
