Easier to lock a thread than moderate it?

    Just curious as to whether I'm alone in thinking that this thread was handled the wrong way...

    So what if the OP happened to be new to boards? The thread either was suitable for the forum or not, no?

    I can't help but think the moderator thought it easier to lock the thread than delete the off topic and p1ss taking replies.
