    I know, it's not technically lift as it's caused by mechanical motion rather than aerofoil shape, but it's close enough for government work in this context ;)

    Sparks - I think I remember you mentioning this before. Can't say I have ever read up a lot about it, however, it does sound interesting.

    Point being, all things considered equal, if a bullet is rotating, then due to its symmetry, if one side causes lift, the other should cause drop.

    I'll have to read up on the magnus effect. I have only read of it in passing when it came to curve balls in tennis, baseball, and slicing in golf. Sounds fun, always did like cross products.

    I wonder what would happen if we dimpled up a bullet? Care to test fire anyone?:pac::pac::pac:
