Chips Lovell

Here's 15 jerseys that appeared in the peloton at one point or another over the past 30 years or so. Your challenge is to say which current professional teams can trace their origins from these teams. All of the current teams are either at Pro Tour or Pro Continental level.

I've tried to only list teams where a fairly direct lineage can be traced. In some cases, only a change of sponsor is involved. In other cases, management and ownership changed over the years, but enough riders and managers stayed on board during these changes to provide a sense of continuation.

No Googling allowed. Scouts honour. The winner will receive a candelit dinner for two with Captain Havoc eternal glory.

In order to avoid helping others, submit your answers by PM only.

First one with all the right answers will be declared winner. Any subsequent correct submissions will decide 2nd, 3rd etc. Partially correct answers will also be given placings.

Got a couple of answers in already. Will tally them up when I'm at a desk, but nobody has all 15 yet.

I'll only take a definite answer. "It's either Liguigas or Lampre" doesn't count.

good i wouldnt be able to sleep otherwise, my grandfather was bit of a cycling man, so he'll probably hang his head in shame at not getting all 15.

Just googled them all now.
Two that I got wrong were pure guesswork, but should have been the other way around.
Some I was close, but no cigar as the saying goes. ANother one, I would never have gotten.
Ah well.

My problem is that I don't think i've ever seen most of those jerseys, so i don't know who used to wear them. I wrote down all the current teams I know, which came to 16:rolleyes:, & more or less randomly assigned them numbers.

There were two that I had no idea about before I started researching it. I probably would have made a few mistakes remembering the rest if I had been answering myself.
