Don't know what you angle is here buddy. I was telling mike65 that there was an explosion at a uranium plant on Sunday and provided him with a link.
As for you drudging up other stuff and trying to smear or provoke or embarass me is pretty infantile of you isn't it...or do you do that simply for the sake of it?

Get lost with your "cheers" crap.

No coherent train of thought then. Thought as much.

Funny how that conspracy site was the only one that picked up the "explosion" - probably a cover up by the men who caused the financial system to collapse (on purpose).

But then you go and a accuse another of being paranoid thinking that there is a threat to Ireland?

Just trying to get a handle on where you're going with all this.

    Cheers.

No wonder there are objections to the route of the Shell gas pipeline in Rossport when this is what could happen:

And this is in a major city with an excellent emergency response network. Imagine how long it will take the local fire bridgade to reach them in rural Mayo . . .

You are completely right. What happens on the other side of the planet could happen here too.

There was an earthquake in Christchurch during the past week. Cork city is being evacuated as we speak....

The stupidity of this thread is just frightening. Talk about the crustys grabing every opportunity to try to run dwn the north mayo gas works.
Firstly, we have large gas mains all ove the country as it is. Gas is being piped to most towns running in pipes just below the surface of the paths we walk on. Nobody has an issue with this yet there is always the possibility of an explosion although it is unlikely.
In Mayo, the uproar relates to the piping of raw gas which requires higher pressures that these urban gas pipes for example. I live near this gas plant. There are about 10 locals who now have an issue with it. Out of those 10, I think 8 are people whos land just didnt happen to be on the pipe route & so got no cash from Shell. The other 2 would be Maura Harrington & a local priest who feels he has to represent his 9 parishoners who are against the project. The remainder of the protestors are crustys and it is an absolute disgrace that this gets national media coverage without it being clearly highlighed that the locals are all in favour of the development.
The high pressure pipeline is now going to be run under a coastal inlet 100s of metres from all housing. There is no problem with it, its just the few lunatics keeping the crap going.
On the plus side, the lunatics are without realising it lining the pockets of all the proper minded locals by way of creating extra security & policing jobs, additional hotel & general accomodation requirements over a much longer period due to the protesting causing delays. As a result of all the protesting, housing rental rates are double what would be expected, local hotel is charging dubin 4 - 5 star rates all year round, employment is still going well & the town of Belmullet really has not gone into recession yet compared to rest of the country

I'd worry more about the gas pipes outside and inside my house than the one in Mayo

I'm telling ya lads, you mark my words when I say, "International Jewish Conspiracy."

If you never hear from me again, it's because they've run a gas mains into my building and blown it up.

That's a petrol station, nothing to do with the pipeline in Mayo

If you want to make a connection OP, you should be aiming at the thousands of petrol stations in every town in the country, many with apartments above them

I have never, ever, ever seen an apartment above a petrol situation. I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

Of course not, a bog is mainly water.
Why is why peat has to be dried before you can do anything with it

I think you never went turf cutting as a young lad :)

    You've never heard of bog-fires ?

This being said - I have no particular objection to the pipeline. Sounds like it creates some jobs. Rumour has it jobs are necessary these days....
