Don't know so much about permission but I would certainly imagine you would need insurance - and it wouldn't come cheap!

well depends if you were charging ect. , but if you just organized a time with other dog owners to bring their dogs to meet up and play around insurance wouldn't really come into it.

I would imagine if dogs are allowed off lead there then you'd all just be aranging to walk your dogs at the same time and it wouldn't cost anything ;) Great idea though! :)

i think it would be a great way of socialising our dogs. hopefully it will work out

It's a lovely idea and I did not mean to sound negative when I mentioned about insurance. It's just that people can be so unpredictable when it comes to things like that. It's all very well when thing are going good but just let one dog attack another or bite someone and then they're looking for someone to blame:(
I know that the SPCA organise a sponsored dog walk in the town where I work and they have to have insurance for it. I just don't want to see any animal lover who is genuinely thinking of organising a fun time for dogs getting into any bother.:)

God - I feel like a kill joy now! Just check it out as you say and I hope you discover that I am being overly cautious (I usually am!). I would love to bring my two dogs to something like that (although one would probably eat all the other females in the place!) as I think it would be good for them. And I could never see myself blaming anyone for what their dog has done as I think I understand dogs pretty well. It's people I don't understand - I just think there are some out there who are on the make all the time and just looking for an opportunity to cause trouble (God - I must move in very bad circles!!)
Anyway, check it out further to be sure and, if it is possible to just do something like that casually and without any fear of repercussion then go for it - and have loads of doggie fun!!:)
