Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, we are 4 guys hoping to do a 3 day loop from Killarney or Tralee by bike. We will take our bikes on train and hope to do approximately 80km per day. Anyone got any advice on best (quietest and scenic) routes to take? We don't really know Kerry. Also looking for nice hostel accommodation on the way in town, village or rural? Any suggestions on an itinerary or pointers would be great. thanks

Get your entry in before midnight and you could take on the Conor Pass (110km) with my club on the 18th if you're around at the time - that's one day taken care of!

There's a range of routes you could take from Tralee into North Kerry and then if you start from Killarney there a further wealth of routes to chose from.

Let me have a dig around and see if I have any good ones already saved on mapmyride that come in ~80km

Are you bringing baggage with you?
Do you want to go out of your way to get the big climbs or stick to the more rolling routes?
    Anyway, suggestion 1:
Head dead south from Tralee for Killarney, but take the Castlemaine road out of Tralee. On the map you will see a road heading directly south, skirting Firies. This is a nice road to Killarney, but not for speed.
From Killarney, Head for Molls Gap and on top turn right for Sneem. Pass on to Caherciveen and turn right for Beallaghoisin and Beallaghbeama. You have the choice of a number of routes back to illaarney then.

At the 50km mark on the third map there is a hostel and a pub. The Walkkers Inn in Glencar.

Have a great race both of you. Enjoy the w/e and best of luck.
I may bring eldest daughter out to see the race go over Molls (she has taken stabilisers off bike but smetimes forgets to pedal).
Seeing wimmin racin could be good for her.
