Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Geelan Family Tree - Glasgow Connections

    Hi,
    I am looking for information with regards to the Geelan family form Blackhills Lower, Co. Cavan. My Great Grandmother was a Mary Geelan, from Blackhills Lower, Cavan born circa 1885. I am trying to trace her brother Patrick, from what I can gather so far he emigrated somewhere – possibly Glasgow, Scotland. Another Mary Geelan from Glasgow visited BlackHills within the last 10 years in search of her ancestors but she left before we could contact her and ascertain her exact family connection.

    Firstly I would appreciate if anyone knows any Mary Geelan living in Glasgow – could they try and get her to contact us?
    Secondly does anyone know any sites/place where one can trace their emigrated family roots to the UK/USA?


    Any help would be greatly appreciated :):)
