Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, That spec sounds like the 2010 standard allez triple.
2010 sport is a 9 speed with a mix of Shimano Sora and Tiagra.
It goes for about 800euro's where as the standard allez is 650euro.
I have the sport for a year now and was very happy with it.
Going to sell it shortly as I am upgrading through the bike to work scheme.
One thing I changed was the wheels got a set Easton EA50's and the made some difference. Best of luck with you purchase

    Hey,
I bought a Allez 09 9sp model last year great entry level bike IMO never gave me a moments bother.Upgraded the the pedals to Look classic and the wheels to Mavic Askiums the more i got into it.Shortly due my new Focus but dont think i can part with the Allez.Anyway best of luck with it.

    thanks folks

Just a quick question for you both. I have seen a few reviews in which people complain about the pedals and wheels that come as standard. Just wondering would you both agree with this?

    Thanks

The pedals are just normal toe strap which for me pottering about with a pair of runners on doing about 20k was fine. Its only when i joined a club and started upping the distance and taking things a little more seriously did i upgrade the pedals and later the wheels.Again i guess it depends on how much you get into it.As i said in previous post i found it a great bike to start of on and have completed Ring Of Kerry,Tour of Kilkenny and Sean Kelly on it plus numerous other spins.I can't really compare it to anything else but from my experience i could'nt fault it.

Great bike I have completed the tour of Sligo,Meath and the Sean Kelly aswell as a few open races and a season of club league races.
The Easton wheels made it for me.I had clipless pedals on from the start.
Make sure its the sport model or better.

I got an allez 24 2 months ago and absolutely love it.
What the difference in the sport, thats worth the extra.

The main (possibly only) difference is the groupset. The allez 16/24 has 2200/2300 where as the allez sport has the next step up with sora. The allez sport can also come as compact.

Btw, has anyone seen the 2011 paintjob for the allez:
