have 2 areas at back of lawn either side of raised percolation area that i am going to plant trees in . one side is damp so am going putting willow alder or birch on the other side i might put a few fruit trees but have few questions
1 can they be bought bare root when the time comes?
2 what type of soil do they need
3 are roots invasive (there is a pipe running up to percolation area not too deep )
    thanks

Bare root will be available November onwards

2 what type of soil do they need

Fruit trees are not fussy regardsing soil types... just Don't plant ln wet soils, around your percolation unit may get too wet

3 are roots invasive (there is a pipe running up to percolation area not too deep )

don't plant over this pipe incase you need to do maintenance

The willows/alder should trive , however the birch prefers a well drain soil
