Bad taste off the water in Maynooth??

Has anyone else noticed that for the last couple of days tap water has been tasting pretty unpleasant and smelling a bit strange too? Not sure if its local to my area or if anyone else has experienced it around Maynooth (I'm on the Celbridge road).

The council have been lashing chlorine into the water supply lately following the heavy rains. I've noticed it for the past week but not too bad today, it makes sh1te tea.
