Hi all can anyone give me advice about buying a .fr (france) domain, researched a fair bit on google, but info seems to conflict , some sites say only french business buy a .fr and host in france. some say buying .fr no problem but hosting an issue for non french business any thoughts would be appreciated
    thanks in advance:)

Currently you need to have a trademark in France OR a limited company in France in order to register a .fr as a business.
Even if you have a TM covering France you would still need an address in France

For a private individual you would need an address in France

The .fr registry (AFNIC) is currently reviewing their rules and regulations and *hopefully* at some point in the next 12 to 24 months the rules will be relaxed more.
