Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ahem, hi guys. I post a little bit in the random pic thread but i'm fairly quiet otherwise. Anyway, this last week i've been working on and just finished a personal picture story that I just felt I had to share. I don't know why. My sister graduated from college Wednesday and left for Australia this morning. We were quite close and it sucks that I won't see her for at the very least a year.... Yea, anyway, less talk...

    Nice idea.

The guy in the second image wearing a tie looks just like a mate of mine.

Where abouts in Australia will she be living?

Interesting story - really like the "gritty" look of it. Sad to your sister go, no worries, both you and her will be grand - perhaps you could go and visit her? (That's what my wee brother did when I was in OZ and we had a fantastic time!)

Photographically, these are quite superb. Love them.

    Thanks for sharing.

(oh, and don't worry, there's always skype)

A great set - and what makes it a great "picture story" is the fact that you didn't need to tell the background, its all there in the images. Well done. Best of luck to your sister.

Great set. I envy your sis...if I could turn back the clock I'd have emigrated to sunnier climes too.

I think the shot with the cat looking on really stands out and adds more to the story than the rest. That said, it's a great set altogether.

I'd print it out and keep it safe. And if/when she returns in years to come it'll be a great piece to look over together.

Brisbane, we have relations there so she'll be well looked after.

Already talks of heading out next summer, can't wait :)

Touching set Gerk86. Left home to come over here to live myself 13 years ago, it was heartbreaking to leave my sister but we have our own lives now and when we see each other we're just as close as we ever were. Just makes these moments more precious.

Just up the road from me. Brisbane is my closest capital city. It's only about 200km away.

Way to obvious for me. You give it away in every image. Surely only one of those shots is needed. The last four in particular tell the exact same story. I like the family shot. I personally would have concentrated on that aspect. Tried to capture the emotions. Then discreetly slipped in one of the last four to tie the over all story together. You don't need to spell it out for us. Let us work a little harder.
