Well, I don't work for Sky but goals we have conceded from set pieces over the past six years (today a rather useful example) come squarely down to either:

- a lack of individual execution from our players (not attacking the ball / doing a Torres);
- good stuff from the opposition;

The fascination with the marking system is pure twaddle. Our record in defending them has actually been quite good overall during the years (despite what Sky might lead you to believe), but yeah we have conceded sloppy goals every so often. The system being employed is never the reason for stuff like the goal just there. Torres is man enough to just play the ****ing ball and get to it before the Utd player beside him. He didn't because of lack of focus / effort / whatever.

Its funny, cause alot of pool fans seem to feel the same way that alot of United fans would feel about Rooney, but for differant reasons.

On form, neither really deserves a starting spot , but given their unquestionable quality, its very difficult for them to be left out.

rooney still gets in positions and passes it good, just an example there with nani, if torres isn't on form, torres does nothing.

I agree, Rooney is more effective and works more then Torres, when both are off form.

However, Torres is the kind of player who is far more likely to do Fk all for 90 mins and pop up with a goal ! !

Is it just me or has Howard Webb got so many 50/50 calls wrong today its unreal? Nothing majorly contentious admittedly and he has been bad for both sides but it shows how bad the refereeing is
