Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey Niallo, how about those Pool fans who threw stones and bricks at the ambulance taking Alan Smith to the hospital a few years back?
Your lot are miles ahead of us.

Them stories were fabricated I was there, and utd fans never booing their own team, go back a few years and have a look

Torres took a dive under a fair tackle from Evans, no doubt knowing he was on a yellow, so surely he's just as bad if not worse?

What a crap post. Diving into a tackle in the box like that is suicide. Stone wall peno. He took the man with no ball now take off your UTD goggles when posting such nonsense.

Thank god for the final whistle.
Thanks god for the redemption of Berbatov.
And thank god Rio is only sick and not injured because Johnny Evans is a complete waste of space.

    Glazers Out!

Phew. Three points were a must. Berbatov is a hero and probably saved Evans and O'Shea from a flying Fergie boot to the skull.

Poor performance by Liverpool in general. Didn't even deserve a point from that match.

Deserved win for United tbf. Although they do have some serious issues red nose will need to address.

Also it does fill me with a bit of pride that at the final whistle you could clearly hear the pool fans singing YNWA above the united fans.

Berbatov has scored 50% more goals than Liverpool in the PL so far this season :pac:

As a nuetral I thought that the Webb got the card right with O'Shea as Van der Sar looked to have the ball covered if he didn't it would of been a red. And if anything I thought he was maybe a little biased toward Liverpool today I thought there were a few occasions he gave liverpool the benifit of the when he shouldn't have.

Where are ye in the table now scousers?? Some start to the season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,415 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

No complaints.* The two goals will detract from how abysmal Liverpool were for most of the game. Before the penalty and following the free kick, Liverpool were awful in just about every respect.

*Well O'Shea should have walked, and it would have undoubtedly influenced the rest of the game.

Fergie is still gong to do it.

Our defence was shocking at times.

Evans is a good YOUNG CB who will make naive YOUNG mistakes. Rio was just as susceptible to such acts when he was younger.

He wasn't sent off because the foul wasn't a goalscoring opportunity. Van Der Sar would've got to the ball before Torres and picked it up and launched an attack. Not a hint of scoring chance there.

What you're claiming is like a Utd fan claiming that Konchesky should've been sent off for handling the ball for the opening goal. Had the ball not gone in because of his hand he would've got a red but because it went in he escaped unpunished. Same way as O'Shea escaped a red because it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity.

Third in the league and having a laugh........

Dont forget UTD fans that your team just beat a very underpreforming team in the form of Liverpool, hell id even fancy blackpool to beat them if they were playing them today! both teams were shocking today, if it wasn't for one player , berbatov, it would have been a totally different scorline!

Third place is flattering UTD judging by thier proformances so far this season, and they will be lucky to be there come the end of the season!

On the balance of play we deserved the win but no doubting the O'Shea tackle could've been red and changed it all. This United defense stands in bad light relative to the 1-0 machine it was a couple of season ago.

Oh and all hail the BerbaGod

o'shea shouldnt be on the pitch and sets up the goal.

fergie has refs in his pocket...

nani should have been off for his diving... Carragher handballed it, Konchesky handballed, ref had a shocker
