Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

About the same as when all the other mid table teams camp in the box and United run the game ;)

also I'm willing to bet that no matter what ref he said you would have made the same comment.

Not likely. It's well known Webb is not a favourite among Pool fans. His record at OT is another interesting factor. Im merely stating my concern

The game isn't even United's next game and there's already an argument about refereeing decisions.

    It's gonna be a fun week.:pac:

Like your posts saying how refs favour us? Don't make me laugh.

I'm worried about this match. Liverpool could still beat us. I remember last season when we were playing well and Liverpool were not, they beat us 2-0 fairly handy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,435 ✭✭✭ilovelamp2000

No questionable decisions ever happen at Old Trafford. Fergie has never made an effort to influence referrees.

Phillip Don's son never got to use the facilities, physios etc at Carrington for free while his dad was a referee and his sister didn't receive hand written birthday cards from Fergie and box tickets to United games.

So let's just rule out any possibility of impropriety right here and now.

Im just saying Id be wary of Howard Webb, stung before you see. I just hope he has a good game.

For what it's worth United will have to be strong favorites, we've been poor enough but never a better time to get cracking. Mind you we were on a horrible run going to OT last season & after a bright start we were abysmal. Poulsen & Lucas had better not be on the pitch at the same time!

It is a tough game to call and a little bit too early as well. The teams that are put out for the European games will tell a lot about each managers priority. There is a definite lethargy about Liverpool at the moment but games like this usually bring out the best. I would be more worried if this was at Anfield. The expectation despite the poor form would result in a more rabbit stuck in the headlights scenario again.

Howard Webb is the best ref in the League; i'd prefer him to be in charge of this game over pretty much any other ref i can think up.

just be thankful it's not Mike Riley from back in the day ;)

    ridiculous conspiracy theories aside...

let's not, on the Monday before a Sunday kickoff, cause this to already degenerate into petty swipes where it's snide remark after snide remark.

we'd like to keep this open, but will close it until later in the week if people don't act like grown ups.

It being a question means that it's pretty obvious.

    Mine was pretty obvious too.

If you need help figuring it out I will happily explain it to you with the aid of colourful graphs or perhaps over the telephone if you wish to exchange numbers?

It's not a fact, it's desperate conspiracy theory nonsense.

Liverpool may well win, form goes out the window in matches like these. Obviously enough.

Judging on tonights performance Fergie def very concerned with the Pool game, sayin gonna be tough for Liverpool havin such a short break having to play Thursday. Pool fans reckon they'll put out a strong team? United lucked out with a Tuesday game. Although hardly say luck with the Valencia injury!

Yeah, an ox of strength more than Rio.;)
Well that and him not wanting to be sent off, and give away a penalty.

If he is so strong then why was he muscled onto the ground here
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5IMpnQCGJ0

All torres did was lean on someone who realistically should have been using a walking stick that day.
Rio has 4 league titles, and a european cup to his name.Torres has nothing:p

I hate that logic. Let's spin it

Torres has a World Cup and European Championship medals. Rio has nothing.

yeh the european cup and world cup are nothing good chap. If rio was so bad that day as you say fergie should be ashamed of himself for playing a man that no doubt should have been in hospital he was in that much pain.
