Maybe a bit of honesty on FGs part would be rewarded. People at the moment are complaining that FF have told them a load of sh!te the past few years, now it seems FG are not going to tell us what they are going to do to get us out of it.

Perhaps, but in terms of social infrastructure France is lightyears ahead. It isn't just about money but how it's spent - let's just say France aren't spending upwards of €20-35 billion on a failed bank.

Other than the motorway network this is completely untrue. Electricity, water, sewerage, broadband, non-national roads and public transport services (especially in Dublin) are woeful compared to other Western European countries.

More people are unemployed than ever before, actually.

Enviable to whom?

Angola?

They do surprisingly well given the terrible underfunding of education and conditions they are taught in - I'm talking here about classroom overcrowding and prefab schools of course.

I bet you could.

Anyway, regarding Kenny's comments it's really one of those "don't shoot the messenger" kind of things. We all know we're screwed, but hate hearing it.

With the current crowd we've "turned a corner" so many times we must have circled the block and are back where we started by now...

10 years? I'd vote for him tomorrow, if only it were true, our children's children's children will be indebted to pay for this mess.... best course of action, get out on the street and let your voice be heard, or, get up on a plane and get the hell out of here.
