But I am still waiting for J C to address the point that God cannot be all powerful and all loving

No doubt he has receded to Answersingenesis.org in search of a retort

To be honest, I think J C is beginning to realise that he doesn't know the Bible as well as he thought he did.

I think you're grossly underestimating J C's mental gymnastics abilities. I've never seen anyone put so much effort into ignoring what was right in front of them, with all the difficult bits highlighted and explained in great detail. He'll be back, completely ignoring any and all demonstrations of how utterly, completely wrong he's gotten it.

I think he just needs to be sure. Some things are hard to let go of but I feel his willingness to accept the truth.

He just needs to know that he is a very effective weapon but he is in the wrong hands at the moment.

He'll come through in the end, like 'The Wongs' did in 'The Wanderers'. He's a good man and will fulfil his destiny.

I Should have wiki'd it first.. everybody is entiled to play around with funny little fictitous cults :o:pac:

I wouldn't play around with this particular 'funny little fictitious cult' ... The Esoteric Order of Dagon has very deep occult roots indeed ... and traces its origins right back through Aleister Crowley to the mystery cults of ancient Egypt, Babylon and Sumeria. It also claims to be informed by the workings of the Illuminati, Rosicrucians, Knights Templar, Hermetics, Alchemists, and Gnostics.

    http://www.esotericorderofdagon.org/E.%27.O.%27.D.%27.%20Introduction.pdf

What is very interesting is the number of occultists that call themselves 'Atheists' ... when they know that God exists ... because the spirits that they commune with, know that He exists.
They should more accurately call themselves 'Anti-Theists' i.e. they know that God exists ... but they oppose Him.

You still have to admit that the idea of omnipotence and omni-benevolence cannot both be true

I think you misunderstand me. In fairness, you're very good at that.

I was simply expressing dismay at the fact that you actually believe in occult magic because a bunch of stories written by a depressed 20th century pulp-writer make vague references to ancient religions and omnipotent god-things. Only slight dismay, mind you. The other ridiculous things you claim to believe soften the blow, as it were.

In His great omnipotence and omniscience God Created Mankind (and Angelic Beings) knowing that some would love Him and spend eternity with Him ... and others would reject Him ... and spend an eternity with themselves.

Nobody is doomed to perdition ... unless they die unSaved.
Jesus came to Save sinners ... and

    The key issue is reconciling God's perfect Justice and His perfect Mercy ... and these are exercised depending upon the choice that each individual freely makes ... to subject themselves to His Mercy, by being Saved ... or to His Justice, by not being Saved;

And by themselves don't you mean burning in eternal torment ?

Revelation 14:11 “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day and night”

So if he is all-knowing, he knew at creation some would be doomed to this faith, and if he is all-powerful he did nothing to stop it

No, no it isn't, there would be no need for justice or mercy had "he" not wanted it there in the first place.

All of this of course on the premise that any of that god **** is real

Pretty much, yes. Well maybe there's a handful of Esoteric Orders that operate out of the basement of a 40 year old virgin's parents' basement, but they're not terribly scary beyond the image of a 40 year old virgin living in his parents' basement. Being scared of them would be as silly as believing that Dungeons & Dragons spells actually work. You wouldn't duck if someone in a cape shouted "LIGHTNING BOLT!" at you, would you?

Lo and behold, here it is weeks later, and you still didn't do any actual research. Even a quick google of "Cthulhu fhtagn" would have shown you I was talking bollocks.

Because the title in my profile looks freaking awesome. And because past poster/moderator Karl Hungus and myself are fans of H.P. Lovecraft. He's one of the most influential horror writers of the 20th century. Not the best writer in the world by a long shot, he's far too wordy and has a great big architectural stiffy for describing houses. But his stories were extremely entertaining once you get past that.

It was made private to make it look mysterious. Well, partly. It was mostly to make sure that if someone posted Great Old One themed porn only a select few people would have to gouge their own eyes out while cleaning up the tentacle-fuelled mess.

Why, did you think I was some kind of insane demon-worshipping wizard? Come on, dude, that stuff isn't real! You are so credulous it's not even funny any more. I couldn't in good secular conscience let you keep worrying about evil cults that practice black magic that you seem to think actually works and will be used to send the whole world to Hell. Even someone like you deserves a chance to be able to tell the difference between reality and fantasy.

Only read part of the first chapter and bits and pieces from further on in the "book".

On the one hand I was convulsed with laughter that, pace Poe, an adult could write such appalling, insane and misspelled prose. And on the other, I was very sad for the same reason.

Because God only helps those who help themselves; God will only help me find my keys if I look for them and then He'll just pretend to find them at the same time as me.

I bet Rick Perry still had to look for his keys.

They seem to torment each other both physically and spiritually ... and their tormented fate is in dramatic contrast to the eternal bliss which exists between the Saved amongst themselves and with their God.

No, no it isn't, there would be no need for justice or mercy had "he" not wanted it there in the first place.

The latest results from Stanford University is supporting the idea that Neutrino flux can cause radioactive decay rates to vary ... and this places a major question mark over the apparent ages of biotic material.

The paper below confirms this and states in its summary:-
A surge in neutrino flux would have two effects:
    • It would cause excess decays of the 14C isotopes in all dead biota (via the Jenkins-Fischbach effect), thus increasing their apparent ages as indicated by their “14C ages".
    • It would produce excess atmospheric 14C for a brief period, thus causing the biotic matter formed during the surge to look anomalously young—perhaps by very large amounts (which may have led to unwarranted discarding of good data).
These two effects together mean that the 14C calibration curve may constitute a “neutrinocardiogram” giving a time history of the “heartbeat of the Sun.”

... and whatever about the “neutrinocardiogram” ... it certainly makes all radio-carbon dating tentative, at best ...
... but then, we scientists have known this all along ...
Creation Scientists have always used a 'health warning' when using radiocarbon dating ... and Evolutionists have also been circumspect about it ... see the statement, highlighted by me, in the above quote, about discarding radiometric data that didn't fit the known facts.

    http://arxiv.org/abs/0808.3986

The Jenkins-Fischbach effect mean that decay rates aren't constant ... and so, nuclear half-lives aren't definitive either.

It is a case of something which supposedly doesn't interact with anything (Neutrinos) causing changes in something which supposedly doesn't change (the rate of radioactive decay of an isotope).:D:eek:

... and thus another great 'foundation block' of Evolution (the supposed accuracy of the ages attributed to material by radio-nuclear dating) 'bites the dust.'

Well I guess it's a good thing that we don't solely rely on 14C for dating then.

Now, back to that list of Kinds you were going to show me.

The need to punish would not be there had it not been implemented,

Knowing he would have to punish his own creations and still implementing it only displays malevolence

Not to mention all the 14C dating for stuff that was alive when the sun wasn't spewing out extra neutrinos. I don't know, J C keeps claiming that he was/is a scientist, how are these massive holes in his arguments getting by him? It's almost as if he's not actually a scientist. But that would make him an out-and-out liar, so that can't POSSIBLY be true.

But yes, let's see this list of kinds. I've been doing stuff based on molecular evolution all month, I could use a chortle.
