    Guys,

not sure why we are not publishing this - I have 2 left (possible 3 actually) that I can sell at £1499.95 / €1899.99 - then they are all gone!

On another note apologies that I have not posted recently or got to your PM's - I'll be back posting from tomorrow..

    Thanks as ever guys,

    ATB,

John, that's a frickin' superb price.

I've a couple of issues that're holding me back on purchasing though.

    1. It might be too big for the room. Room dimensions are 18'x13'.
    2. Feel the ambilight would be wasted as it's going into the corner, and wouldn't be flush against the wall.
    3. There's definitely a thrid point. What is it again? Oh yeah, I can't afford it!:D

If you have one lying around for about €1000, I'd take that one off you. I'd consider it a house warming gift from yourself! ;)

Hey John, can you only wall-mount these 21.9 TVs or can they go on a stand in the corner of a room?

Apologies if this question is not directly related to buying/selling from RS, but just wondering how the normal broadcast tv (which is mostly 16:9) look on this telly? Massive black bars at both ends I would imagine?

PS: Even with that, I wouldn't mind one - especially if you have something like this on some sort of deal / sale.

    Nicola on behalf of Ash:

    Hey Al OBama,

The 21:9 TV's only come with a wall mount but you can get a table top stand for them for approx €249.99. This of course enables you to put the TV on a stand in the corner of your room.

And Positron we do indeed have an awsome price as John posted. €1899.99 down from €3999.99!!!! I just check it out with a 16:9 unscaled picture and it does have black bars either side but there is a cinema 21:9 format you can choose which will stretch the picture out to the sides and cut off a little top and bottom. I gurss the choice is which picture you like distorting less. :o The 16:9 TV's distort 21:9 pics to fill their screens and the 21:9 distorts 16:9 pics to fill its screen. Hmmmmm decisions......

    Thanks a mil, Nicola

Thanks Nicola, that is a very good price alright, however, it's still slightly above what I want to spend, especially because large screens like 60" prices are also down and they have the advantage that most of the content is 16:9 (or even 4:3!!). But this TV is a great looker though, where as large 16:9 screens just look monstrous and ugly. Ah, some day in future..!

    Thanks again!

    Log-on,

yep it has now been reduced to €1299.99 in The Philips Shop - and that price includes a 5 year warranty!
