Question re credit card

I recently paid off a final payment of €173 a credit card. The date of payment was 7 September. However I notice now there is an interest and charges payment due of €2.20 due which is dated 8th September. I'm wondering if this is possible?

Payments take a couple days to clear

Interest may be for the previous month, i.e. charging interest on 8th of the month for the previous calender month.

best to ask your bank what its for.

Thats fair enough. I've no issue paying it. Just thought it a bit odd looking thats all.
