Weather forecast

Just wondering what weather forecasting sites people here use when planning longer trips (looking at 170k this weekend). Up till now I've been using Met Eireann (www.met.ie) and have just been looking at www.weatherforecast.ie I've noticed the different sites can give quite different predictions particularly for wind speed and direction. I know it is an inexact science, just wondering what peoples experiences have been.

tbh, I've found the Met Eireann site weak, for anything other than the next day.

Accuweather is handy enough, seems accurate.

I use http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/hourbyhour/EIXX0014?from=hrly_graph_tab for the forecast to get an idea what the day will be like. Not 100% accurate but the most important thing for me is the temperature. Today it didnt show any rain but ofcourse it did rain. If double checking, I head over to http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/hdfForecast?query=dub&searchType=WEATHER ... goodluck.

www.yr.no. The animation, hour by hour and weekend bits are useful.

On the left handsite choose expert charts - has just about everything you would ever want....and seems to be pretty accurate.

The Rain Radar on met.ie is quite useful

as are the NRA road weather stations

and Irish Weather Network http://www.irelandsweather.com/

and the weather forum has some good experts
