You know at the bottom of a person's profile there is a referral. What is the referral for? Is it when somebody is banned or made a mod? Thanks.

When someone signs up to boards, they have the option of entering the username of the person that recommended the site to them. If they enter a username, then that's a referral.

^what eoin said. It comes as default with vbulletin (the software we use).
