    Just had a chat with a mate about a fella he knows who has been telling him about the amount of sea trout in the river at the minute and how many he is catching a day (15-20 fish)...and keeping all of the!!! Did I mention that the guy doing this is also a water keeper!!!!? What a prick....

    Saw a conviction in the paper yesterday for two lads caught with a lamp and a landing net poaching salmon on Kings River (lismolin, Tipperary). €800 euro fine...does anyone else think that is a bit soft, i mean caught on a river in december with lamp, landing net and a salmon, is that the full conviction a judge can give? :confused:

    its funny because the amount of times they've probably got away with it, and sold the salmon for at least 10 times more!

    Just another example of the hypocracy in this fine auld country of ours.....there is very little justice in this country and when there is, it seldom fits the crime.
